I spent so many summers out at camp as a camper, PA and eventually a leader. I now have two daughters that I have been bringing to camp for 4 years. Coming back to camp and volunteering with my girls has meant so much and has brought back many memories. The songs that get stuck in your head, the activities you only do at Girl Scout camp (gimp and rolling ice cream in coffee cans), the beautiful campgrounds and hikes, the creative crafts, the endless laughs, and the friendships made out at camp are truly what makes this camp so special. My daughters look forward to camp week just as much as I do now, and I know they will for years to come. Meagan Pak aka "Tweety" Parent, MNDC Volunteer, & Former Camper I have been volunteering at Mountaindale North since 2013, and I can honestly say it's one of my favorite weeks of the summer. A week at Mountaindale North is fun and incredibly rewarding. Some of my closest friends are women I've met through Girl Scouts and volunteering at camp. My two younger daughters have been attending camp since they were 3 years old in the Widget Unit, and they've grown to love their week at camp just as much as I do! Laura Bennett aka "Rascal" Parent & MNDC Volunteer Mountaindale North is the best. There is just something magical about spending the week out in the woods, surrounded by smiling adult volunteers, excited PAs, and singing campers. I’ve been volunteering at camp since my oldest daughter (now an adult) was a Daisy and my youngest was a Widget (now a PA). We have so many lifelong friendships that have been made at this camp. I just love watching the progression as the girls grow up each summer, empowering them with lifelong leadership skills, and seeing the amazing, confident young adults they become through Girl Scouts. Carrie Bateman aka "Boca" Parent & MNDC Volunteer I went from feeling hesitant, to instantly being in love with MY camp experience, not to mention my daughter’s experience. At the end of camp week I went home and immediately marked off camp week for next year on my calendar. I wasn’t going to miss it. And I don’t think you will want to either. Please join us! Laura H. aka "Pick-a-Brick" Parent & MNDC Volunteer Exciting Activities Campers at Mountaindale North enjoy a full day of outdoor activities, including nature hikes, songs and games, archery, team building, outdoor cooking, and more!
