Outdoor Training Reminder

Attention Camp Volunteers!

Your core staff is busy and excited for camp to begin!

This is a reminder for our upcoming Outdoor Training / set-up / get-to-know camp day.

July 19, Saturday: Set-Up and Outdoor Training

Start Time: 10:00 am

End Time: about 4:30 pm

RSVP: If you cannot attend Outdoor Training, please email our volunteer coordinator, Chili: volunteers@mountaindalenorth.org

Check your email for driving directions (email dated July 8)

Please arrive on time to avoid vehicles exiting our camp (the driveway is one-way).
Drive slowly as you enter and exit the camp.
Keep your headlights on as you come up the driveway.
Back in to park your car.

Check-In: Please check in outside Marilyn’s Place on the front porch with our camp registrar, Rascal.

Camp T-Shirts: After check-in, you can go inside Marilyn's Place to get your camp t-shirt from our Volunteer Coordinator, Chili.

Lunch:

Dress for the weather: We will be outdoors most of the day.
Coolers: At least one cooler will be needed for lunches in each unit during camp week (2 for the larger units).
- If you are assigned to a camper unit, please touch base with your co-leader to see who will bring the cooler(s) and who will bring the ice each day (ziploc bags filled with water and frozen flat work well).
- If you do not have access to a cooler, please let someone on the core staff know, and we will arrange to get one for your unit.
Camp chairs: All volunteers are welcome to bring their own camp chair for use in their unit during camp week.
Daily Staff Meeting: Each morning during camp week, we hold a staff meeting in Marilyn's Place at 8:30 am to go over any updates and questions. If you are not able to attend because you are riding the bus, then please send your co-leader or PA.
