Mountaindale North Day Camp

 

Camp Hours

Camp runs from 9am-3:30pm - Monday July 26th thru Friday July 30th, 2010

Volunteers are expected to be at camp at 8:30am and remain at camp until the campers leave on the buses in the afternoon (unless otherwise announced)

 

Program Info

Daisy Units (girls entering 1st grade)

Brownie Units (girls entering 2nd thru 3rd grade)

Junior Units (girls entering 4th thru 5th grade)

Cadette/Senior/Ambassador Units (girls entering 6th thru 12th grade)

PAIT Unit (girls entering 7th grade or higher)

Program Aide (girls entering 8th grade or higher & have completed PA Training)

 

Tagalong Units

Widgets (3 & 4 year olds)

Daisies (girls entering Kindergarten)

Boys 1 (sons of Volunteers entering Kindergarten thru 2nd grade)

Boys 2 (sons of Volunteers entering 3rd grade thru 7th grade)

*Tagalong units are for children of full time volunteers. Part Time volunteer children will be placed in the appropriate Tagalong unit for the days their parent is present in camp.

Unit Info

Campers are put in units of approx 12 campers in the same unit level from different troops. Each unit has two Adult Volunteers and one or two Program Aides (PA). Units work on badge oriented activities chosen by the girls, adults & PA's. Campers may also participate in arts & crafts, cooking, hiking, outdoor skills, songs, flag, rainbow program and many other fun activities.

 

Overnight Campout

There is an optional overnight campout on Thursday, July 29th for campers entering the 4th grade or higher in the fall of 2010.

 

Buddies

Requests will be honored when possible. Buddies must both request one another on registration form and have the same badge choices.

 

Transportation Guidelines

For Safety reasons all Campers must ride the bus (except children of full-time volunteer staff). $25 bus fee is included in the price of camp. Do not drive your child to or from camp.

Emergency Closure

If an emergency occurs that forces the closure of camp after camp has started, we will make every effort to contact parents to pick up their children at the bus drop off and pick up area. If the emergency makes it impossible to get to the bus location, all campers will be transported to a safe and convenient location and parents will be notified from there.

 

Waitlist Policy

If you scout is put on the waitlist, you will be notified when a spot opens up in her age group.  We will go by date registrations are received.
