Can I be put in the same unit as my daughter?

Mountaindale North's practice is not to place parents/guardians & daughter together in the same unit.

What kinds of activities will my daughter be doing at camp?

There are all kinds of activities that are offered each year. Each camper is placed in a unit and works towards their try-it/badge from their choices, doing the activities lined out in the Girl Scout Book. Other activities that campers can participate in according to unit/age/and choice are: Archery (4th grade and up), Storyteller, Arts & Crafts, Cooking, Outdoor Skills, Hiking, Songs & Games, Water Fights in the Meadow, Nature exploring, Flag Ceremony, learning to do Gimp and much more.

Can my daughters Girl Scout troop be put in the same unit?

No, it is Mountaindale policy to only put buddies together that have requested each other on their day camp registration forms.  Our camp wants girls to come to camp and meet new girls, and make new friends. Units then are put together of the same program age level scouts from many different schools.

What does my camper need to bring the week of day camp?
